Customer Service - Golf Aftermarket Support Specialist

We are your Maritimes' John Deere Dealership with 15 locations to serve you.
We are looking for a dedicated person to fill the role of Golf Aftermarket Support Specialist at our Halifax, NS location.

Purpose:

Main support for ourgolf business (NS/PEI/NB), aiding clients in ordering, and supplying of John Deere and other short line parts. Communicate with course Superintendents and Technicians to advise on parts required for repairs and providing technical support on repairs and warranty submission for Golf Equipment.


Responsibilities:

  • Answering the dedicated golf parts phone line/email and promptly responding to customer requests

  • Providing advice on ordering and stocking of golf parts based on equipment needs

  • Contact our golf customers in off season regarding parts and inspection needs

  • Exploratory calls with potential golf customers regarding future needs and upcoming promotions

  • Field internal and external customer inquires to the Service Department.

  • Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced.

  • Maintains the service library with current information under the direct supervision of the Service manager

  • Maintains Service Dept filing and records

  • Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customers workorder

  • May process warranty and/or product improvement claims

  • Works with other departments as directed by the service manager

  • Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customers needs

  • Records all sales and/or counter transactions that occur. Process all parts orders in full when parts leave with customer or are shipped.

  • Supplies Service Techs with Parts as required

Requirements:

  • Experience with golf equipment (operation, mechanical requirements, etc.) considered an asset

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience managing phone (voicemail) and email accounts

  • Basic Data entry/keyboarding skills

  • Basic parts and machinery knowledge

  • Ability to work in a team environment
